Respekt is the brand new label from Spektre; undoubtedly one of the hottest new acts to emerge in 2009. Lauded by the dance press, championed by the biggest names in techno (Vath, Dubfire, Garnier) and hugely popular with fans across the techno spectrum, Spektre’s big explosive sound has defined 2009.
1. Kraken see's Spektre back on typically fierce form. Taking inspiration from the mystical beast from the deep they conjured up their own deadly leviathan with this high-impact floor-burner that rocks out a deep and incendiary groove that is full of ballsy punch, wigged-out effects and disorientating atmospherics.
2. Nautilus continues the sub-aquatic theme of the EP with a journey down to the depths with tripped whale cries and bubbling water noises providing the backdrop to this angst-tinged grinder. Galloping beats, throbbing bass and wildly pitching synths complete the picture to crate an ever so slightly off kilter mood builder.
